With white paper as my foundation, I attempt the chiaroscuro that he dominated so magnificently, no deep background for one's imagination to hide in its black, but I need this piece to live in the daylight. More perceptibly, in the setting of daylight. A setting that tingles you with its familiarity but gives little specifics away. Just a tingle, just a bead of moisture
