It works, relatively simply

While I'm not as up to date with the current state of the tabletop game, for many editions The Swarmlord was considered a difficult inclusion in Tyranid armies due to its underwhelming stats, so at least they managed to bring over a hallmark trait into its incarnation in Magic

(My Equinaut Deck is a deck based around Equilibrium and Fleetfoot Panther that plays and replays creatures with self-bounce triggers to abuse various triggers like Aura Shards, the bounce trigger, or tap them before they had back with Opposition, and so forth)

There are still small piles of SP copies on SCG and TCG at the time of this write up, and those seem like a good place to go deep
