I think that one of the biggest winners with this card is Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy because it offers a line where you dont always need colored mana to make Kinnan work

This third ability comes in handy in several Commander strategies (filtering cards by paying life is usually a very good deal), but of course Mystic Forge is most valuable in colorless or artifact-focused builds

While a bit narrower than other similar cards, it is a very fun addition and likely a staple in any deck running the Turtles

Its perfect in Voltron decks because it adds double strike, and sometimes you just want to swing twice with your 10/10 lifelinking, double striking, flying commander

However, the precon provides many excellent lifegain cards, and with just a bit of tweaking, you can turn it from a Vampire tribal deck led by Edgar Markov into a lifegain deck led by Licia, Sanguine Tribune
