In the distance

the South Fork Kishwaukee River begins to freeze from the edges inward as the afternoon sunlight illuminates this landscape giving the river an amazing deep color blue

A SOFT LIGHT OF THE CATTAIL Size:16X24 GALLERY WRAP I switched out my lensI had been photographing the wildflowers and sunrise for about forty five minutes now when this scene unfolded. With the sun breaking the horizon just above the box elder trees that line the banks of Eakin Creek West, the morning sun produced a soft light that illuminated this prairie landscape scene with a cattail emerging from the wetland at Wildflower Park.
