Although she was born into an Episcopal family, she later converted to Catholicism as an adult while spending time in Italy due to her husband's poor health. She became a widow at a young age with 5 little ones to care for. Eventually, she founded an order of teaching sisters that built many orphanages and schools. What a beautiful faith she had.
