The Cobalt and Yellow Matte glazes were applied to the piece before loading the kiln and the Natural Ash glaze that developed during the firing provides the fluid movement for beautiful glaze drips

The copper glaze is a blend of materials that will react to the smoke and flame from the firing process

Candlestick Set in Dogwood White, 13"h (Ben Owen III) Lily Jar at 1600°FThis candlestick style was first made by Ben Owen Sr. in the 1920s while working at Jugtown pottery. Ben Owen III continues the signature style of his family in this special batch of Dogwood White. Made from local red stoneware clay with multiple layers of white glaze applied to the surface. Candlesticks measure 5. 25"dia. base x 2" mid diameter 13" top height (12. 25"h at top of bowl). The beeswax candles are 1. 5w x 12h and are sold separately
